What is UHF RFID long range reader AZUHFR105A?

A compact waterproof UHF reader that reads tags up to about 5 m and handles 50+ tags, with fast data reading and tag wake-up recognition.

A UHF RFID access control system has four parts: long-range readers, passive vehicle tags, a controller with management software, and the boom barrier or gate that it opens. Together they let authorised cars drive through without stopping, while every entry and exit is logged. They suit apartments, IT parks, offices, campuses, hospitals, factories and parking lots.

How it works

A reader antenna powers and reads a passive UHF tag fixed to the windscreen or vehicle. The reader sends the tag ID to the controller, whose software checks it against the authorised list, validity period and gate permissions. If the tag is valid, the controller signals the boom barrier or gate to open; if not, the barrier stays down and the attempt is logged.

UHF RFID long range reader AZUHFR105A for single-lane entries

The AZUHFR105A is a compact, waterproof UHF reader for entries where a medium read distance is enough. It reads passive vehicle tags as the car approaches, so authorised vehicles pass without stopping.

Key features of UHF RFID long range reader AZUHFR105A

How UHF RFID long range reader AZUHFR105A works, step by step

  1. Survey the lane. Lane width, mounting height and distance from the barrier are measured.
  2. Mount and connect. The reader is fixed on a pole or wall and wired to the controller or barrier input.
  3. Tune the range. Power and angle are adjusted so the right vehicle is read at the right point and neighbouring lanes are not.
  4. Register and test. Tags are registered and the lane is tested with real vehicles.

Frequently asked questions

Is AZUHFR105A enough for my gate?

For a single lane of normal width with vehicles approaching slowly, yes. For wide lanes, higher speeds or several lanes side by side, the AZUHFR115 is the safer choice.

How many tags can it read together?

It handles 50+ tags in its field at once, which suits normal gate traffic.

Does it work with an existing barrier?

Usually, if the barrier accepts a standard access input. We confirm on the site visit.

How does UHF RFID let cars enter without stopping?

A passive tag on the vehicle is read from a distance by the reader. If the tag is authorised, the controller lifts the barrier, so the driver need not stop or swipe a card.

Which reader do I need for my lane?

Choose by the read distance you need and the number of tags in range. A short-range reader suits a single lane, while a longer-range reader suits wide or busy entries. A site visit confirms it.

What does the UHF RFID controller and software do?

It receives the tag ID from the reader, checks it against the authorised vehicle list and opens the barrier only for valid tags. It also keeps a log of every entry and exit, so you can see who came in, when and through which gate.

Can the reader work with my existing boom barrier?

Often yes, if the barrier controller accepts a standard access input. Share the barrier make and model so compatibility can be checked.

Where is the windscreen sticker fixed, and what if the car has tinted glass?

The sticker is normally fixed on the inside of the windscreen in a clear area. Heat-reflective or metallic-tinted glass can reduce the read distance, so a test tag is checked on the vehicle before a full batch is issued.

What happens when a resident sells a car or loses a tag?

The tag is blocked in the software so it no longer opens the gate, and a new tag is registered for the new vehicle. This is much safer than a remote or card that can be passed on.

Can visitors and delivery vehicles be handled too?

Yes. Visitors can be given a temporary tag with a validity period, or the guard can open the barrier manually while the entry is still recorded, depending on how the system is set up.

Is the reader suitable for outdoor use?

Both readers are designed for outdoor entries. Confirm the weather rating on the datasheet for your site.

Does it still work during a power cut?

The barrier and controller can be put on a UPS or battery backup, and every barrier has a manual release. Ask for a backup arrangement when you request the quote.

Do you repair gates and doors installed by other companies?

Yes. We service multiple brands. Send a photo or video of the issue on WhatsApp.
