Most gates can be automated
If your gate is straight, well balanced and moves freely by hand, it can usually be fitted with a sliding or swing operator. Heavy rust, sagging hinges or a bent frame should be fixed first.
What retrofit includes
The installer fits the operator, adds a rack or arm, wires the controller and sets up safety sensors and remotes. Your existing gate stays, so work is usually quicker and neater than a new gate.
Ask for a site visit
A technician needs to see the gate, the ground and the power point. After the visit you should get a written quote that names the operator, safety devices and controls.
