Why speed and sealing matter
Every minute a door stays open lets warm air in and makes the cooling system work harder. Fast opening and closing, and good seals, help hold temperature.
Insulation and condensation
Insulated door leaves limit heat transfer. Cold stores also need to manage condensation and ice around frames and floors, so ask how the door and its seals are designed for low temperatures.
Safety
Forklift traffic needs reliable safety sensors and clear signals. Make sure people inside can always get out, and plan regular checks of seals, sensors and heaters where fitted.
